馬來西亞諾丁漢大學設有18個學院和部門，包括：人文與社會科學、工程與科學等科系，提供基礎、學士、碩士與博士課程。畢業生十分受就職市場歡迎，根據統計，有高達90%畢業生在畢業六個月內就受聘或繼續深造，這是馬來西亞畢業生就職率最高的大學之一。

馬來西亞諾丁漢大學的課程是以英語教學，畢業生皆獲頒諾丁漢大學的學位，而這些學位都已經獲得許多國際專業機構，如工商管理碩士協會、英國藥劑師總會、英國工程理事會等等的認證，證明教學素質已經深受肯定。

在2010年5月，馬來西亞諾丁漢大學獲得馬來西亞高教認證機構所頒發的課程自行認證地位。這代表馬來西亞政府承認這所分校所開辦的課程已達致了最高素質水平。2015年12月，該校因其研究與創新教學質量，榮獲馬來西亞研究評估制度五星卓越評級，成為馬來西亞國際大學中評價最高的高等院校。

The University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM) opened in September 2000 and became the first British university to set up a campus both outside of the UK and in Malaysia.

In September 2005, the Malaysia Campus moved to its own purpose-built site in Semenyih, 30km south of Kuala Lumpur. Designed to reflect University Park Campus in Nottingham, it is a self-contained, vibrant village situated on an attractive and landscaped 125-acre site. The campus has about 5,000 students and around 700 teaching and administrative staff from all 85 countries.

The University of Nottingham is placed 103 in the world (18 in the UK) out of more than 1,000 universities in the QS World University Rankings 2022. The Malaysia Campus offers courses from foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate taught to research degrees. All the courses are taught within 17 schools and departments across the faculties of Arts and Social Sciences and Science and Engineering.

The Malaysian Qualifications Agency has granted UNM self-accrediting status, one of only a limited number of universities to be granted such an accolade.

All the programmes are identical to those offered at The University of Nottingham in the UK and follow the same quality assurance processes, and students are awarded University of Nottingham degree certificates when they complete their course.

The University of Nottingham is proud of its international reputation for world changing research, a reputation which extends across all of its campuses. It was rated No. 8 for research power in the latest Research Excellence Framework. The research in Malaysia Campus has a particular focus on addressing the challenges facing Southeast Asia and countries in the Islamic world.

It has also been recognised as delivering a Gold standard in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). The University provides excellent teaching, learning and research facilities including a well-equipped delivery, library, dedicated study areas and computers, language, and science and engineering laboratories and online lesson alongside virtual labs.
